Handel Installation/ replacement (30 mins)

Handle Installation:

This applies if you're installing a new handle on a pre-drilled door:

Disassemble the Existing Hardware (if applicable): Remove the screws holding the handle on both sides of the door. Then, remove the interior components like the
latch and strike plate (the metal plate on the door jamb that the latch connects with).

Install the Latch Assembly: Most new handles come with a latch assembly. Insert the latch through the hole on the door's edge and secure it with the provided screws.
Attach the Interior Handle: Slide the interior handle onto the latch assembly's spindle (the metal rod running through the door). Secure it with screws.

Mount the Exterior Handle: Repeat step 3 for the exterior handle, ensuring proper alignment with the interior handle and the strike plate location.

Install the Strike Plate: Line up the strike plate with the latch on the door frame and secure it with screws.

Handle Replacement:

This applies if you're replacing an existing handle on a pre-drilled door:

Remove the Existing Handle: Follow step 1 from the installation instructions above.

Install the New Handle: Follow steps 3-5 from the installation instructions above.

Additional Tips:

If you're unsure about any step, consult a professional handyman or watch online tutorials for visual guidance.

Consider the style and finish of your new handle to ensure it complements your existing décor.

Deadbolt installation typically requires additional drilling and might be best left to a professional locksmith for optimal security.
